The IBC04 series eighth-brick isolated DC-DC converter is designed specifically to provide a regulated low noise 12 Vdc output for feeding downstream non-isolated point-of-load (POL) converters in systems with distributed power architectures (DPA). The converter has an ultra wide 18 to 60 Vdc input range that accommodates standard 24 and 48 Vdc telecommunications equipment supplies. Rated at 50 watts, it can deliver up to 4 amps and accommodates an ambient operating temperature range of -40 to 85˚C.

The converter has a typical efficiency of 92% and is based on an open-frame design that is optimized for forced air or conduction cooling. The conversion technology employs 300 kHz fixed frequency switching to help minimize external EMI filtering requirements.

Standard features include undervoltage lockout and remote enable, with non-latching overcurrent, overtemperature and overvoltage protection. IBC04 series converters have an installed height of just 0.34 inch (8.7 mm), making them ideal for systems with demanding inter-board spacing requirements.
