Non-isolated DC-DC converters enable designers to overcome the challenges caused by the high peak current demands and low noise margins of high-performance semiconductor devices, by placing individual DC sources near their point of use. This minimizes losses caused by voltage drops, helps overcome noise sensitivity and EMI emission issues, and ensures tight regulation under dynamic load conditions.
